AFGE Contract 2009
The Union’s greatest strength is its membership. You will make the difference when
negotiations begin this year, and you can do this in a number of ways:
Responds to surveys in a timely manner. They will cover many topics, including
working conditions, promotions, performance appraisals, and staffing. The results will be presented to management and this is an excellent opportunity FOR YOU to be
heard at the bargaining table!
Get more involved with your Union by distributing flyers and
encouraging others to answer the surveys that are sent to them.
Read all the material that is sent to you by the Union. Stay informed!
The mission of the Contract Negotiating Team is to restore as
many of the rights that were lost in 2005 contract as possible and make other
changes to the agreement. This won’t be
easy because management wants to keep the status quo. We cannot – and will not- allow that to
happen.
